2020 is the Centennial of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote.
You probably haven’t heard of Inez Milholland, but she was a martyr to the suffrage cause, a peace activist in WWI, a pro bono lawyer, fighting the death penalty, and a zesty, passionate pioneer of equal rights for all.
Help make this true short film to inspire people to use that right in the 2020 election. It will also be a Proof Of Concept to get a feature film made about passionate Inez!
In the clutches of terminal illness, suffragist Inez Milholland steels herself for the final speech of her tour ~ rallying the nation to give women the right to vote. Though President Wilson and most of the voting men see the cause as a threat, still she persists. At the pinnacle of her speech, she galvanizes the throngs with an uplifting message, but suddenly collapses before she is able to finish. As her family pleads for her life, Inez insists on finishing her speech, reminding us that as many men have died for our Freedom, now women must show us how to live for it.
